Edna Ebanks was born and raised in the United States by Caymanian parents who left their homeland to find the American dream. Early on Edna was taught the value of hard work, honesty, family and friendships. Growing up her parents often spoke of the Cayman Islands, the family still living there and the fun they had growing up enjoying the beach and sea. Always being drawn to the island during vacations, family visits and the friendliness of the Caymanian people Edna felt like Cayman was her second home. Offered a job as a flight attendant for Cayman Airways by the managing director, without even applying, Edna decided to pursue her new airline career. Edna found her new career very rewarding as each flight she would meet interesting people from all over the world who enjoyed hearing about the best places to visit while in the beautiful Cayman Islands. Climbing the ladder of the In-Flight department to become an In-Flight Instructor, who trained new recruits, was her greatest achievement. Her career with Cayman Airways lasted over a decade when she decided to become a real estate sales agent. November 1991 Edna joined RE/MAX Cayman Islands and the broker/owner’s Kim Douglas Lund and Brenda Tibbetts Lund as their first sales agent located in Seven Mile Shops. As the RE/MAX franchise was well-known in North America and most of the Cayman Islands purchaser’s coming from North America working with Kim and Brenda was a perfect fit for Edna.
